Canyon Pathways Podcast
The Canyon Pathways podcast invites men into the journey of sonship, and invests in them through creative content, honest conversation, and inspiring stories of men around the world so that the listener leaves encouraged and equipped to live like a son and lead like a father.
Our goal with the podcast is twofold: 1) to invest more deeply into our existing community and provide ongoing content and community spaces for them, and 2) to expand the community by inviting more men around the world to this global campfire.
So, welcome to the table of sonship—we’re glad you’re here!

DISCOVERY Convo: When God Finds You Before You Know You're Lost w/ Peter Glynn
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode of the Canyon Pathways Podcast, Luke Smith sits down with our friend Peter Glynn to explore the theme of discovery—not just in the sense of travel or adventure, but in the much more sacred journey of becoming who you were created to be.
Peter’s life has taken him across continents, through boardrooms and battle zones, and deep into the wilderness of both the world and the soul. What emerges from this conversation isn’t a map, but a compass—an invitation to recover what’s been buried, to tell the truth about our stories, and to let God meet us there.
From childhood memories of a "treasure table" to spiritual breakthroughs in places like Pakistan and Israel, Peter reflects on how discovery is not about striving for answers, but responding to the One who is already seeking us. His story reminds us that grace often finds us before we find faith—and that we were never meant to explore alone.
If you’ve ever felt like your curiosity was too much, your past too messy, or your mission unclear—this episode is for you.
Key Takeaways
- Discovery is sacred. It’s not invention—it’s the uncovering of what God has already placed within and around us.
- We were made to explore. Curiosity is part of sonship—it’s how we grow, heal, and lead.
- God finds us first. Even before we’re aware of Him, He’s already reaching toward us.
- Our stories matter. The parts we’re tempted to bury are often the places God wants to redeem.
- Grace keeps us moving. Even when we’ve lost our way, the Father’s heart draws us back.
- Men don’t need to have it all figured out. They just need to stay open, stay present, and keep going—with God and with each other.
